Most animals will last two weeks, from Monday to Sunday--unless otherwise specified or there's enough interest to keep going.

"'Ello everyone," Magnus said nervously but still smiling. He had a chalk board with the phrase "Care of Magical Creatures Club" written with extreme care. The weather was perfect with just a slightly breeze near the edge of the Forest. There were some crates with air holes that were shaking a little. "So...er, this is Care of Magical Creatures club... and I am your captain for this term. For those that don't know me, my name is Magnus Lee. I'm in Gryffindor and I'm a werewolf. This term I have a special surprise for ya. I know we've covered werewolves last term; 'owever, I found a way ta allow everyone to safely watch me transform into a werewolf and watch for a short bit. I shan't be takin' Wolfsbane potion on this day either. Me Dad'll be 'ere ta help talk with ya and ensure safety. I sincerely 'ope everyone will take this unique opportunity. 'Ere's me plan this month for the club." He waved his wand and the words on the chalkboard changed.
Dragons, Grindylow, Unicorns

"The 'oot club will be returnin' again, and even with a special field trip or two. If everyone could sign up on the sheet if they are joining the club and if they are interested in the 'oot club as well, which is our owl enthusiast club. Please also put down if ya 'ave a pet and its species and name." He handed the sheet to the nearest person and carried on.

However, since there's no full moon in sight, I have something fun planned today. Pointing over to a set of crates he said, "I've procured some nifflers. Now," he said waving his wand so a picture appeared on his board. Nifflers kinda look like a seahorse and a ferret combined. They love shiny things. I've dug up some earth 'ere and thought ya would enjoy chatting together and playin' with your niffler. So er, if you all wanna grab a niffler and let 'em loose and see who can get the largest pile 'o gold. Mind ya, it aint real gold. But I got a little somethin' for everyone after the meeting ends."

Aria ran into the classroom and grabbed a seat near a window. Dax bounded into the room and began pouncing from seat to seat until landing safely on the desk in front of Aria. "Dax, get off!" Aria whispered fiercely, as a wave of hot embarrassment rushed into her cheeks, turning them bright red. Dax casually jumped to the ground and rubbed up against Aria's legs before sitting to her right, under the window.

Aria relaxed back into her chair and listened intently to Magnus. She wondered how he managed to get permission to transform into a werewolf in front of everyone. Aria kept her excitement contained though, she didn't want to seem over-eager to witness the transformation.

After listening to a short introduction Aria turned her attention to the nifflers in their crates. Aria wasn't sure she wanted to be the first person to get up and take a niffler to play with, so she hesitated a moment and looked around the classroom. Throwing her caution to the wind, Aria stood and quickly walked over to get a niffler and walk it back towards the area Magnus had prepared for them.

Dax trotted over towards the niffler as soon as Aria let it out of it's crate and began to sniff the lovely little creature.

Millie was so happy to be back at Hogwarts. She took the sheet and quickly wrote her information: Amelia Tudor Pet: long haired tortoiseshell cat named Cleo Club interests: Phoenixes, Griffins, and Unicorns

"Oh, I love nifflers" Millie said. She walked over to the crate and choose one. She scratched it's little head and cooed it while she waited for the others to join

"Ain't they neat?" He said smiling, "they wouldn't make good pets sadly cos they'd tear up your 'ouse, but they are really gentle and calm 'lil things." He looked at the sheet. "Don't forget to sign it Aria, so I knows ya wanna stay in the club." He stayed far enough away from Dax as he could, totally uncomfortable around the griffin.

Aria realized she had forgotten to sign the roster, due to the fact that she had been so flabbergasted by Dax's behavior entering the classroom. "Sorry," she said to Magnus "I'll do it now." Aria quickly grabbed the pen and filled out the requisite information. Name: Aria Quinn. Pet(s): Dax - a medium sized Snowy Owl-griffin.
Club interests: Just magical creatures. "Done!" she whispered to nobody in particular and set the pen down with a big grin.

"They are adorable. And for sure. I already have a pet that tears the house apart" Millie said about her feisty cat.

Jasmin tried to sneak in as quietly as she could, trying to mask the fact she was late. she quickly walked over to the crate of nifflers, and because she saw everyone grabbing one, she did too. 'youre kinda cute, ya know that?' tyto, her barn owl, landed on her head, almost poking her eye. she grabbed him and put him on the edge of the table. 'behave, will you? i gotta sign up' she walked over to the sheet and began writing her name

she also happily signed the sheet for the owl club, not knowing what it was, just that it sounded fun and there weren't any names yet. maybe this would encourage other people? she put tyto on her shoulder and walked over to the other kids, all cooing and petting their nifflers.

"No worries, Aria," Magnus said brightly. He watched her niffler pull out some fake gold from one of the holes he had dug and add it to a pile. The niffler sure looked like it was having fun. "Ya need ta get some Garden Gnome's Millie. They give me cat a run fer her money," he laughed. Millie's niffler slid back into the dirt like it was water. It was surely something really neat to watch.

He wandered over to the new comer he had never met. "'Ello, me name's Magnus. Nice ta meet ya and thanks for joining the club." He was pleased to see she had a niffler already. 'Ope ya 'ave fun. Kind of an informal meetin' today cos its the first one of the term an' all. But feel free ta chat or ask questions or whatever."

when she looked over Magnus was just walking towards her. she expected to be scolded for being late, but instead got a friendly introduction. 'thanks, will do! these guys are just so cute, i couldnt wait to grab one!' 'gosh i love non muggle-school.' she mumbled to herself when he walked off. she turned around and put her niffler on the ground. 'do your thing hun!'

Aria looked down at the pile of goodies that Rora (the name she gave her new niffler) had created and gasped to find a gift box hidden amidst the treasure. Lifting out the gift box she noticed it was from Magnus. After reading the note she looked up to see that Magnus had given one to everyone. Aria smiled in thanks to him and hid the gifts from Rora.

Sam resisted the urge to polish her prefect's badge with her sleeve, as she joined the group at the edge of the forest. She waved cheerily to Magnus as she added her name to the sign-in sheet.

As soon as she carefully opened a box, the niffler inside pounced into her lap and began eagerly pawing and snuffling at her shiny new badge.

as Jasmin was seated on the ground with tyto next to her, and she was digging through the goodies that nifty dug up, she heard someone new come in. she looked over her shoulder to see a girl waving to magnus. Jasmin smiled at her and turned back. she was never good at naming animals, nifty because they're nifflers and wel.. quite nifty. and tyto was the official name of a barn owl. she rummaged through the fake gold to find a little box. she was pleasantly surprised and showed it to tyto, only to realise he (ofcourse) didnt get it. 'ive gotta make some friends' she mumbled to herself as she inspected the box.

"Look at you Ms. Prefect" Millie giggled.

He checked on everyone as he enjoyed watching them interact with their nifflers. Silently he wondered if anyone would try to smuggle one off with them. Then Sam entered and Magnus beamed. Congratulations on makin' Prefect!" he said beaming. He gave her a hug before he had time to think. Then straightened himself knowing he was blushing. "Knew I wouldn't got too many detentions." His eyes were sparkling with mischief.

Sam blushed furiously, almost as much from Millie's jibe as from Magnus' hug. "You're just getting better at not getting caught" She teased "It's too bad Slytherin and Ravenclaw have divination class at different times, you should've seen old Trelawney when that teacup bit her on the nose!" Sam gently pried the niffler off the front of her robe, and set it down in the dirt pile to hunt for more shinys.

"I heard about the teacup biting Trelawney's nose" Millie said. "I wish I was there when it happened. She wasn't too please during our class".

Magnus laughed, "'Ey, wouldn't've gotten caught with the last one if it weren't for Peeves. But I reckon there's a learnin' curve for magical mayhem eh?" Then he almost roared with laughter, "wish I would've seen that." He elbowed her and said, "but you know I'm in Gryffindor," with a wink, "I guess you are so drawn ta me intellect ya forgot eh?" He was having too much fun teasing and chatting with Sam. "Inspired prank with the teacup though."

"(OOC Oops got you and Gaia mixed up there. Durrr.) "Oh yeah that's right..., this house stuff still fakes me out every once in awhile. I mean you can be smart and brave both. Still, I'm just glad I'm in Slytherin, having windows that look out into the lake is the best." Sam grinned as the Niffler brought her a little gilded box before diving back into the dirt, and changed subjects. "The teacup was a hoot! It was fun watching the old fraud trying to divine how it got there! It never occurred to her that a big smart owl could open the shutters on her tower window." Umbra, who was indeed quite large, hooted complacently from a branch above them.

"No worries," he said jovially, "I don't really care much 'bout 'ouses meself. But don't tell no one that. They might chuck me outta 'Ogwarts." He giggled at the image in his head at the event. "We'll 'ave ta think o' another prank. Maybe something for Astronomy?"

Gaia took her time in making it to the club meeting. She had been delivering some owls to the school owlery and needed to go back, but her friend was now captain and she was ready for the new term to begin. "Someone call my name?" Gaia grinned and hugged Sam () and waived at Aria and Millie ( ) with a smile. The she turned her attention to one of her favorite furry people. "I just heard the news!" Gaia winked at her friend (), then getting serious "you better do it justice." Laughing she looked for the parchment and wrote her name Gaia, this term I have 2 pet owls and my purple pigmy puff, Hoot Club for life! "I need to go back to the owlery for some training, but I will be back!"
